I chose to go with a kit from TheRetrofitSource as they have years of experience with automotive lighting. This projector is one of their universal projectors where it just simply slides into the existing bulb socket (9003/H4). So that means no major cutting.

After gently removing the reflector housing there one one thing that was needed. There is a little bulb diffuser attached to the housing. It slides out and then I had to cut the little tabs off. Luckily the projector shroud hides the markings from the dremel. The projector slides into the bulb socket and attaches with a ring.

The shroud slides cleanly over the projector and attaches with screws from the back side. It also has a halo ring that is white and can, if wired, can act as a switchback halo with flashes orange for blinkers. I did not connect this.

Luckily when SAAB made this headlight they had a parking light (194 bulb) which I just rewired the positive and negative cable to the respective leads on the Halo. If you wanted to do the switchback you would have to run wires from a blinker bulb to the halo.
